Garden Chairs

Garden Chair

Most people buy garden furniture sets because they match perfectly in colour and style but some customers prefer to purchase each piece of outdoor furniture separately, while the others already own a table, for instance, and need only chairs. For that reason clients should be always given an option to choose pieces of garden furniture separately.

Garden chairs are the key element of every garden furniture. They enable their owners to relax on their garden or patio and enjoy the beauty of their garden, host their guests, etc., while restaurant and bar owners can increase their profit by providing an additional sitting area to their customers in the summer time.

Different people expect different things from garden chairs. However, all are typically after comfort, quality, appealing design, durability and affordability as well as ease of maintenance which is particularly important for business owners who do not have as much time as home owners to maintain their garden furniture. For that reason business owners have to pay even greater attention to quality of manufacture and materials of which garden furniture is made because unsightly chairs will not attract new customers nor help retain the existing ones, while frequent replacements of outdoor furniture is a major expense that can be easily avoided by choosing quality chairs in the beginning.

Whether used for private or commercial purposes, garden chairs should compliment the existing style and décor which can be achieved by most materials of which garden furniture is made: wood, metal, plastic and stone. Opinions about which of the mentioned materials withstands the outdoor conditions the best are divided and they all have their advantages and disadvantages. Wooden garden furniture has a special appeal and if made of the right type of wood, it can last for decades with minimal maintenance. However, removal of stains caused by spilling and cigarette burns can be very challenging. Metal, on the other hand, does not get affected by stains as easily as wood and is also resistant to insects but all metals except for stainless steel are prone to corrosion if not protected with anti-corrosion coating.

Plastic garden chairs are resistant to both corrosion and staining as well as insects but they are not as durable as those made of metal, wood or stone. The latter virtually lasts forever but a stone chair is a cold place to sit on unless warmed by the sun or provided cushions and pillows. In addition, stone chairs are very expensive and purchase of a larger number of stone chairs is unaffordable for most business owners.
